CHATGPTd
No one has probably avoided hearing about the new AI that has been released by various companies. The most famous (and one of the first free tools) is CHAT GTP, it's not the first AI's, however they have cost a slat and have not reached the big market in the same way. One of these, Jasper.ai, got to write one of our posts last fall. And already now in February, we see a big difference in how AI technology has developed since then and the material that it's producing has already received much better quality.
TALKINGPOINTS
Here we have an app that is currently free to use and helps schools and teachers to translate text into a range of different languages. The aim is to facilitate communication between home and school where language can be a barrier. Right now it is possible to write in English and then have it translated into lots of different languages and then get translation back from that language. Can be a little challenging to use around GDPR, if your outside of the USA, but the more you highlight the need and can show its potential, the greater the chance that school principals will find similar alternatives or found ways in which it is possible to use the app.
AHASLIDES
Not much has happened in recent years regarding presentation technology (apart from digital online meetings), but now after the pandemic where the focus is again on IRL, some new apps are emerging. An example is AHASLIDES, a simple tool to make your PP presentations more interactive.
DALL·E 2
Last but not least comes an example of a tool for AI generated art. DALL E creates art through text-based instructions. The students can, for example, practice creating art through emotions and that you can go through many famous artists. For example, you can ask the AI to create art based on your favorite artist.
